On May 23, 2025, students from the 32nd class of the Training School for Medical-Sanitary Technicians in Medical Analysis at the Pasteur Center of Cameroon (CPC) presented their supervised work before a jury.
This work, conducted in various CPC laboratories (virology, mycobacteriology, bacteriology-parasitology-mycology), synthesizes the research conducted at the end of the training. According to Emery Kamsu, head of ETAM, this stage represents much more than scientific learning: it is a professional immersion promoting ethics, teamwork, and a culture of scientific sharing.
Working in groups of three, the students had 15 minutes to present their results and answer questions from the jury. The group supervised by Dr. Ngu Abanda, working on the rapid diagnostic test in the yellow fever confirmation algorithm, received the highest score (8.5/10).
Dr. Mirdad Kazanji, Director General of the CPC, emphasized that the school’s best students are often given priority for internships and jobs in the center’s laboratories. Graduation remains contingent on passing the national certification exam organized by the Ministry of Public Health.
