CPC/AG activities

In terms of service activities, the CPC/AG handles requests for clinical biology analyses from the general public and from hospitals, in particular the Garoua Regional Hospital. The high-quality automated technical platform enables standard analyses to be carried out, with specialised analyses being sent to the CPC in Yaoundé or to an external laboratory (CERBA).

The CPC/AG is the only facility in the north of France qualified to carry out clinical or environmental bacteriology analyses (water analysis), an essential and indispensable capability for health monitoring, including the identification of germs responsible for meningitis, cholera and multi-resistant infections.

The CPC/AG is also equipped with a high-performance Molecular Biology technical platform, including quantitative PCR, a capability that enables it to implement the most sophisticated techniques for identifying and quantifying pathogens, making a major contribution to public health missions, particularly in the context of the covid19 epidemic.
