One of the CPC’s priority missions is also to train students and professionals with a view to improving patient care. To achieve this, the CPC has a 3-year training school for medical and health technicians. It houses 2 classes simultaneously.

 

Admission requirements

Admission to the CPC School is by competitive examination based on written tests, organised by the Ministry of Public Health, which, through a Radio-Press Release, sets the date of the competitive examination, the conditions to be met in order to apply, the authorised training schools, the composition of the application files and the nature of the tests. Une seule filière est en cours: la formation des techniciens principaux Médico-Sanitaires, option Analyses Médicales. La filière est ouverte aux candidats tituliares soit d’un Baccalauréat (C, D, F7 ou F8) soit d’un GCE A/L en 02 matières.

Candidates from other countries are admitted on the basis of an application file, which is sent by official channels to the Cameroon Ministry of Public Health, via the Ministry of External Relations. La durée de la formation est de 3 (trois) ans.

Tuition fees :
Tuition fees are 800,000 CFA francs per year.

Statistics for the 2024-2025 school year

  • 2nd year: 13 out of 13 students have been declared definitively admitted to the 3rd year class.
  • 3rd year: All 12 students have been declared definitively admitted following the national certification exam and are now ready to demonstrate their skills in the prestigious HEALTH profession as Senior Medical and Sanitary Technicians in Medical Analysis.

In October, a new academic year (2025–2026) will begin with two classes of students: one in the 3rd year and the other in the 1st year, for another even more exciting, but above all, exhilarating, adventure.

Graduates of the CPC’s ETAM program can find employment in the following fields:

  1. Research sector: Research Technician (Research Assistant) in research laboratories.
  2. Civil Service: Direct recruitment of Medical and Health Technicians.
  3. Customs and Army: Customs officer responsible for the biological expertise of suspect and prohibited substances.
  4. Cosmetics and Pharmaceuticals sector: Cosmetics and pharmaceutical industry.
  5. Possibility of entering the LMD system: Through the Special License in Medical Analysis.
  6. Forensic Medicine and Scientific Police: Forensic officer responsible for the analysis of biological evidence samples.
  7. Food and Environmental Sector: Agri-food industry and environmental protection.
  8. Human and Social Actions: NGOs and other organizations providing care to people in need.
