From the CEO

Welcome to the official website of the Cameroon Pasteur Center.

Founded in 1959, the Cameroon Pasteur Center (CPC) is a Cameroonian public scientific and technical institution, a member of the Pasteur Network. For more than six decades, it has played a central role in prevention, surveillance, diagnosis, research, and training in public health in Cameroon and the sub-region.

In close partnership with national authorities, international organizations, and field stakeholders, the CPC’s mission is to provide concrete and rigorous responses to major health challenges. In a context marked by the emergence of new epidemiological threats, modernizing our infrastructure, strengthening our human capacity, and fostering scientific excellence are our core priorities.

We are currently undertaking major structural reforms to improve the quality of our services, strengthen our administrative efficiency, and ensure greater accessibility to our services for the entire population.

Through this website, we offer you clear and up-to-date access to our services, results, publications, research projects, and news about our activities. It is also an invitation to discover the women and men who bring the Centre Pasteur du Cameroun to life every day with skill, commitment, and dedication.

I thank you for your trust and interest, and I invite you to follow our news and collaborate with us to strengthen public health in Cameroon and beyond.

Dr. Mirdad Kazanji

Our missions

Centre Pasteur contributes to the fight against disease and the promotion of health by treating Cameroonian patients and preventing international health risks through the surveillance of endemic and epidemic diseases, scientific research and the training of health personnel.

This mission can be broken down into 3 strategic areas:

  • To provide as many Cameroonian patients and customers as possible with a range of medical biology and hygiene and environmental services at the lowest possible price; hence our slogan: «Excellence in biology accessible to all».

  • the fight against infectious diseases in Central Africa through biological and epidemiological surveillance activities,

  • Establish national recognition and make the CPC an internationally recognised scientific research institute.

Our professions

The professions practiced within the CPC are structured around its four main areas of intervention: medical biology, public health, research and training. The Center brings together a diversity of professional profiles, including researchers, biologists, medical-sanitary technicians, receptionists-samplers, IT specialists, biomedical maintenance technicians, human resources managers, marketing and communication specialists, accountants, cashiers, inventory managers, transit managers and warehouse workers, among others.
