The Pasteur Center of Cameroon shares its expertise in human resources management with UCAC students

The Pasteur Center of Cameroon (CPC) welcomed, on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, the Master’s students in Human Resource Management from the Catholic University of Central Africa (UCAC), as part of an academic visit focused on discovering the professional realities in the field. This initiative reflects CPC’s commitment to actively contribute to the training of future executives by promoting dialogue between the academic world and key institutions.

After the usual courtesies, the students were introduced to the core missions of the Pasteur Center of Cameroon, a major player in public health and biomedical research in Cameroon. Particular attention was given to the organization and functioning of the Human Resources department, a crucial pillar for the proper functioning of the institution.

The diversity of staff statuses within the CPC – including civil servants assigned by the State, seconded officials, as well as staff hired under contract – provided visitors with a concrete and particularly enriching case study. The discussions allowed for addressing key topics such as career management, the payroll system, recruitment policy, as well as the mechanisms for staff evaluation and performance.

The discussions, both educational and interactive, were led by Mr. Alain Roger Mboh, Head of the Human Resources Department, and Mr. Serge Bakoti, Head of the Marketing and Communication Department of the CPC. Both leaders answered the students’ numerous questions with precision, highlighting the requirements, challenges, and best practices related to human resources management in a renowned scientific and healthcare institution.
Accompanied by their supervisor, Dr. Obah, the students left with a better understanding of the strategic issues in human resources and their central role in organizational performance.

Through this approach of openness and expertise sharing, the Pasteur Center of Cameroon reaffirms its commitment to training, knowledge transfer, and the development of human capital.
