On Wednesday, December 17, 2025, the Pasteur Center of Cameroon (CPC) welcomed the coordination team of the ANRS0392s ELDORADO project, marking an important step in strengthening the Center’s international scientific collaborations.
On this occasion, the biochemistry and hematology laboratories, as well as the Reception department, were visited by a delegation consisting of:
Anthony L’Hostellier, International Project Manager
Dr. Axelle Gansou, Clinical Coordinator
Salomé Mesnier, Clinical Research Assistant
Gabriel Tchatchouang Mabou, National Project Manager
Léonie Tonfack, Laboratory Technician
This visit is part of the implementation in Cameroon of a multicenter phase III clinical trial aimed at evaluating the effectiveness of doravirine compared to dolutegravir in antiretroviral treatment-naïve people living with HIV-1.
During this meeting, Dr. Mirdad Kazanji, Director General of the Pasteur Center of Cameroon, highlighted the major role played by the CPC teams in characterizing specific strains of HIV in Cameroon. He also emphasized the performance of the Center’s analytical platforms, making the CPC one of the few institutions in the sub-region with laboratories accredited to the ISO 15189 standard.
This visit illustrates the strategic role of the Pasteur Center of Cameroon in high-level biomedical research, as well as its ongoing commitment to developing international scientific partnerships in the service of public health.
