On the occasion of the official opening of the year 2026, the Director General of the Pasteur Center of Cameroon (CPC), Dr. Mirdad Kazanji, invited all staff to strengthen cohesion and team spirit, which he described as essential pillars of the institution’s performance and sustainability.
True to tradition, the conference hall of the Pasteur Center of Cameroon hosted, on Friday, January 23, 2026, the solemn speech of the Director General marking the launch of the new year’s activities.
During this ceremony, Dr. Mirdad Kazanji extended his New Year wishes to all staff, while sharing his vision as well as the strategic directions that will guide the institution’s actions throughout 2026.
As a prudent manager, the Director General emphasized the need to eliminate any form of individualism within the CPC. He reminded everyone that unity, cohesion, and team spirit are essential drivers for performance, financial stability, and the longevity of an institution with over 65 years of history.
Dr. Kazanji also expressed his deep gratitude to all CPC employees for their efforts over the past year, praising their constant commitment and their crucial contribution to achieving the institution’s overall objectives.
Taking advantage of this platform, he highlighted the remarkable contributions of certain staff members. In particular, he praised Dr. Marie-Claire Endengue, whose involvement made it possible to complete the construction and equipping of a new laboratory dedicated to polio research and surveillance, which is soon to be operational.
Encouragement was also given to the Marketing and Communication Department for its daily commitment to developing the activities and increasing the visibility of the Pasteur Center of Cameroon.
Furthermore, the Director General emphasized that the appointment of a Cameroonian Director at the head of the Pasteur Center Annex in Garoua, as well as the upcoming construction of a laboratory of the Pasteur Center of Cameroon in Douala, will contribute to invigorating CPC activities and strengthening its national presence.
