CALL FOR APPLICATIONS 02 PhD Students

As part of its mission to train and supervise students and healthcare professionals, the Pasteur Center of Cameroon wishes to welcome two Cameroonian doctoral students to conduct research on arboviruses. The candidates will work within the Virology Department, under the direct supervision of Dr. NGU ABANDA as part of the research project entitled “Improving the Diagnosis and Surveillance of Arboviruses (IDASO).”
Interested students will work on the following specific projects:
1- Humoral immunity against arboviruses
2- Antigen expression for clinical diagnosis and sero-surveillance of arboviruses
Required profile:
• Hold a Master’s degree (Master II) in biochemistry, immunology, biomedical sciences, or a related field obtained from a public university.
• Be committed to applying for a doctoral program in Cameroon or Central Africa,
• Have experience in serological, biochemical, and molecular biology techniques, as well as in handling human biological samples.
Application file includes:
A motivation letter specifying the specific project chosen by the student,
An up-to-date curriculum vitae, Academic transcripts (Bachelor’s and Master’s II),
A recommendation letter from the Master’s II academic supervisor.
Application files must be submitted to the Secretariat of the Director General of the Pasteur Center of Cameroon (Yaoundé) in a sealed envelope no later than January 10, 2026, with the note “Doctorate in Virology/Arbovirology Application.” Selected individuals must be ready to start from January 11, 2026.
